Travel back in time and discover one of the least known aspects of Russia's most famous dynasty with this guided tour of the House of Romanov Boyars.
House of the Romanov Boyars Guided Tour
We will meet at 11 am next to the Church of Saint Barbara in Moscow. Then we begin by walking along the street of the same name until we reach the magnificent house of the Romanov Boyars.
Popular beliefs usually place this emblematic Russian dynasty in St. Petersburg, however, its lineage actually began much earlier in this residence belonging to the nobleman Nikita Romanovich Yuryev.
During the next two hours, we will explore the different rooms of this old urban mansion while we unveil some of the secrets of this family before they acceded to the throne.
We will also delve into the history of Russia as we walk through the various cameras and down to the basement to discover an exhibition showing what life was like here in the past.
We will finish the guided tour at 1 pm in the elegant courtyard of the Hous of Romanov Boyars.
