Complete your trip to Moscow and discover Russian culture in more detail when you visit the Museum of Vodka and the Izmailovo antique and handicraft market where you will find the most interesting and unusual items.
Izmailovo Market & Vodka Museum Tour
We'll meet in front of the Bolshoi Theatre. From there, we'll head to Ploshad' Revolutsii metro station to take the Moscow metro, which itself is one of the city’s main attractions. While we make our way through the subterranean passageways you will admire the huge murals and bronze statues that adorn the space. We get off at the closest stop to the Church of Saint Nicholas.
In the vicinity of the temple, you will encounter one of the prettiest markets in Moscow. Izmailovo market is home to a wide range of items including matryoshka dolls, fur hats, amber jewelry, and other souvenirs. This is also the perfect opportunity to try some traditional Russian snacks.
We then leave the market behind and walk a short distance to the Museum of Vodka, an essential visit for those who want to know everything there is to know about this quintessential Russian product. There you will see the first distillery which dates back to the 15th century, and vodka recipes from hundreds of years ago.
After strolling through the main exhibitions in the museum, we'll say goodbye and our tour will come to an end.
